This is the view from the second bird watching tower at the Tiputini Biodiversity Station in the Amazon Basin of Ecuador. The forest looks untouched, but surrounding this preserve are oil companies and settlements. Ecuador has the highest biodiversity on the planet and also the highest rate of deforestation. This image captures one of the last places in Ecuador that appears untouched.
