Nine year old Zenisoa singing with a Tandroy drum in Mahabibo, Madagascar. She is not just playing; music is an integral part of Malagasy daily life. She learned the music and dance steps from older women in the village and is sometimes asked to lead songs. Needless to say, Zenisoa did not hesitate to correct the vazaha, or white visitor, on the finer points of Malagasy music.
