In Tibet and all over China, the Chinese Government prohibits the learning and use of the Tibetan language in education. Many Tibetans send children to school in India where they can learn their language and help preserve their culture in schools created and funded by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. During one of many frequent blackouts, my dedicated little brother completes his Tibetan homework by candlelight.
