Macalester students and faculty examine fragments of ancient seafloor in the Troodos Mountains of Cyprus. Exposed at this locality are well-preserved ""sheeted dikes"" which served to convey magma from below the crust to the seafloor about 90 million years ago. Alexandros Konstantinou ('08), seen wearing a maroon shirt, is from Cyprus and guided the group through the geology of the region.
