The island of Hydra is only accessible by boat, and the only transportation allowed on the island have two wheels or four feet. Hydra's only ""city"" creeps right up to the water's edge (businesses and people on the boardwalk are subject to angry waves and high tides). The environment of Hydra's shore represents a mix of yachts, high-speed tourist cruisers, donkeys, and modest fisherman's boats. Hydra itself remains separate from the hustle and bustle of a city like Athens, but it is not immune to an infusion of commercialism. This photo represents a sense of Hydra's ""urban sprawl"".
